Sweet Deliverance

Pastoral Care and Counseling Training Program

OUR GOAL:
Counselors deal with lives, therefore, training programs must demand and produce high levels of accountability in and provide adequate training services for public and private organizations. The role of Sweet Deliverance Pastoral Care and Counseling Training Program is to provide counseling training and services among target populations that will effectively help equip people to counsel and care for others. Such target populations include ministers and laypersons, congregations and community organizations. Through group, workshop and individual training sessions, Sweet Deliverance implements such services

The Love of God reaches beyond race, class, social strata and ethnicity, and His Love can and will continue to transcend all walls of separation through outreach ministry.

Objectives:

  • To administer curriculum that leads to licensures, certifications and degrees in Christian and pastoral counseling.
  • To document the instruction and education methods, and ensure optimal learning; and to identify those trainees with the greatest success and potential.
  • To prepare the trainees in two years to be board-certified pastoral or Christian counselors and obtain and use the credentials behind their names.
  • To tailor the student practitioner’s advanced training to meet the particular and specific needs of the congregation and community to be served.
