Workshops
Getting
Started
A two-week workshop will be conducted with one participate on
becoming a published author. Participants will be introduced to
various writing forms. The most basic manuscripts and manuscript
ideas will be examined and developed into an outline for
production strategies that can be used as a guideline to arrive
at a complete draft of a manuscript. One on one attention will
be given to the perspective author’s vision, desire and dream
for a published work. This workshop consists of two two-hour
sessions. The price is $100.00 per person. Group rates are
available.
Poetry Workshop
A Ten-week workshop will be conduct with five to ten
participates on the fundamentals and process of writing poetry.
Participates will be introduced to various forms of poetry and
will develop a portfolio reflecting such formats by the end of
the workshop. The workshop consists of ten two-hour sessions.
The cost of the workshop is $1000.00. Individual rates are
available.
Fundraiser Publications Workshop
A Twelve-week workshop will be conducted with three to five
participates on the fundamentals and process of fundraiser
publications. Participates will be introduced to the process of
developing a camera-ready manuscript for the purpose of
short-run publishing to generate a book as a fundraiser tool.
The workshop consists of six two-hour sessions and twenty
resource hours. The sessions will meet on a by-weekly basis to
give the participants ample enough time to walk through the
publication process. The cost of the workshop is $1,000.00.
Individual rates are available.
Writing Prose Workshop
A Ten-week workshop with one to five participates on the
fundamentals and process of writing prose. Developing an outline
strategy to arrive at draft manuscript by the end of the
workshop is the focus. Participates must arrive to the workshop
with a substantial draft in hand. The workshop consists of ten
two-hour sessions. The cost of the workshop is $1,000.
Individual rates are available.
Private Sessions
Private writing and tutoring sessions are available at $30.00
per hour for a minimum of ten hours. This time can be used to
work on manuscript development, English grammar or basic writing
skills, as well as the preparation of various documents. A
ten-hour package is available for the discount price of $250.00.
A retainer of $125 is required for the package.
