Bishop Wesley J. Wiley
Apostle Wesley J. Wiley was born in New York City to the late Reverend Dr. James and Elder Janie Wiley. He is married to the lovely, Apostle Patricia Wiley, who he walks very closely with in the ministry. Apostle Wiley grew up in the Allen Memorial
A.M.E. Church and gave his life over to the Lord at the age of 12. At the age of 13, Wesley was baptized by his father at the First Baptist Church of Crown Heights, Reverend Clarence Norman, is Pastor.
Apostle Wiley graduated from Erasmus Hall High School Academy of the Arts, entered Kingsborough Community College at the age of 16 and finished at
S.C.S. Business Institute where he was awarded an Associate Degree in Computer Science. From there he hit the "Big City" and got a job on Wall Street at Prudential Bache Securities as a Transfer Agent and later became Department Supervisor.
September of 1988, Apostle Wiley relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana to help organize the Act of Faith Ministry (another church under the Ambassador Christian Temple, Brooklyn, N.Y.) At the age of 21, he was ordained Minister of the Gospel, under the leadership of Bishop
J.W. McLain.
He relocated back to Brooklyn 6 years later to work on a major music project. Apostle Wiley then became a member of Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc., under the leadership of the then Reverend Patricia Rodgers.
In December 1995, he was ordained Reverend and later became one of the assistant pastors of the Ministry. Apostle Wiley is currently Pastor over the Music Department and organizer of JOB (Just Obedient Brothers) Men's Ministry, which consists of men from both Oil of Joy Ministries II, Resurrection Temple and other brothers from various churches.

In October 1998, Apostle Wiley was installed as senior pastor of the Resurrection Temple of Our Lord, Inc., truly following his father's Godly footsteps. On December 19, 1998, Apostle Timothy James of Total Man Ministry, in Houston, Texas, along with Apostle Patricia Wiley consecrated him to the office of Bishop.
He holds the office of Presiding Bishop over the Oil of Joy Ministries II, Resurrection Temple of Our Lord, Inc. and several other churches throughout the state are under his tutelage. On September 21, 2002, Apostles Martin & Michelle Johnson of Kingdom Worship Center, Aurora, Colorado consecrated him to the office of Apostle.
Apostle Wiley has received his New York State Certification as a Chaplain from the All Saints Chaplaincy School, Training in Chaplaincy Ideologies and Methodologies, also Chaplain Ecosystem. In September 2002, Apostle Wiley was conferred a Doctorate of Divinity Degree from the Carolina Theological Bible Institute. In 1998, he also received his license as a Television Producer with Brooklyn Community Access Television. Apostle Wiley serves on the Board of Directors of the American Gospel Trailblazers Association with great legends in Gospel, Taking Off The Mask Ministries under the leadership of Apostles Daryl and Jenelle Coley. He is an active member of The Worlds Bishop Council and he serves as Vice President, along with his wife, of the In The Word Bible Institute.
He has received numerous awards, such as The Governor's Citation Award from Hon. Howard Golden (1996-99), The Senator's Citation from Senator Marty Markowitz (1996-99), The Congressional Award from Congressman Major Owens (1997), Mid Brooklyn Civic Association Award (1997), City Council Citation from Councilwoman Tracy Boyland (1999), City Council Citation from Councilwoman Rhoda S. Jacobs, Broadway Comes to Brooklyn, Excellence in the Arts Award (1999), President of Brooklyn Citation from Hon. Marty Markowitz (2002) and he has received many awards of recognition and honorariums from various organizations.
Apostle Wiley was formally employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Board of Education of the City of New York associated with the Renaissance Development Program. He also served as the instructor for the I.S. 271 Inspirational Choir, who has come in first place for three consecutive years in the National Gospel Choir Competition. He worked at the school five years until the Lord gave instruction for him to be at the Temple full time. He is also former musical director for the Plays "Angel In The Street", The Streets Can't Have My Son", and "From Crack to Christ". He is currently working on his first book entitled "Music Is A Ministry".
Although Apostle Wiley is a highly sought after Musician, Vocal Trainer, Song Writer, Producer and Preacher who plays, teaches, and instructs under the anointing of God, at any given service or recording session, he is committed to giving his talent back to his community. He is also makes time to socially interact with people for fun and recreation. As a member of a Christian modeling group, Umoja (Unity), Apostle Wiley is known for his humble down to earth personality, and he serves as a role model to many. Thus, his very presence challenges the stereotype that the black man is to be feared and it announces him as a hero who moves in numerous capacities with style, eloquence and grace. He is a confident man of God.
Apostle Wesley J. Wiley loves the Lord with all his heart. He believes the Word of God written in Habakkuk 2:2-3, "Write the vision, and make it plain."
His motto simply stated, "Giving God your all is the key towards excellence."
