Dr. Wesley J. Wiley was born in New York City to Elder Janie Wiley and the late Reverend Dr. James Wiley. He is married to the lovely Dr. Patricia A Wiley, whom he walks very closely with in ministry. He grew up in the Allen Memorial A.M.E. Church and gave his life over to the Lord at age 12.

Graduating early from High School at age 16, he entered into College and completed his education and graduated with an Associates Degree in Computer Science from S.C.S Business Institute.

At the age of 21, he was ordained a Minister of the Gospel and served as the musician and Praise &Worship leader at The Ambassador Christian Temple, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Eight years later upon his return to New York City in pursuit of furthering his musical career, Dr. Wesley J. Wiley became a member of the Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc., under the leadership of the then Reverend Patricia Rogers. In December 1995, he was ordained to the office of Reverend and went on to become one of the Assistant Pastors, heading the music department and organizing SOJ (Sons of Joy), a mentoring program for young men ages 12 to 18 years old.

In 1998, he was elevated and consecrated to the office of Bishop.

Dr. Wesley J. Wiley has achieved many accomplishments and has been awarded many recognitions of prestige from New York State Senators, the Borough President’s Office, Council members and District Leaders. He has been invited to Congress to bless and witness the installation of one of his community’s prominent leaders. Also, Dr. Wesley J. Wiley is an official member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Writers and Publishers).

Currently Dr. Wesley J. Wiley is the Senior Pastor of the Resurrection Temple of Our Lord. He also serves as President of “In The Word Bible Institute”, along with his wife. He is an active member of the Worlds Bishop Council and has received his New York State Chaplaincy Certification. Dr. Wiley received his Doctorate of Divinity Degree from the Carolina Theological Bible Institute.

Dr. Wesley J. Wiley attributes all of his accomplishments to the glory and honor of God. Although music is a great love of his, he is a man of many talents, gifts and abilities. He has been the musical director for numerous gospel plays as well as the musical director for numerous youth choirs (i.e. Save the Youth and I.S. 271 Renaissance Choir), that have traveled across the tri state area and to the United Nations. He is also a licensed television producer with Brooklyn Community Access Television, and the author of “I Made It on Broken Pieces”. He has also released his first worship CD entitled, “Music is a Ministry”.

Dr. Wesley J. Wiley is down to earth and has a humble spirit, confident in whom God has called him to be: Song Writer, Producer, Author, Public Speaker, Professor and Pastor, are just a few of the gifts and callings that he walks in. His motto simply states; “Giving God you’re all is the key toward excellence.”
